The end of Shea.

Posted by jtrussell on February 7, 2008

Makes me sad (musically more than baseball-y) but Shea stadium is closing next year. To celebrate, there is going to be a concert “The Last Play at Shea, from the Beatles to Billy”. I’ve always had a soft spot for Billy Joel, the schlockier the better honestly. Wish I could be there…

Current Obsession: Tokyo Police Club.

Posted by jtrussell on January 23, 2008

So I’ve always been a little in the dark, music wise. I am attempting, as best I can, to remedy this by listening to as much new music as possible at work. Today, via the nice hipsters at Pitchfork, I started listening to the two EPs by Canadian indie band Tokyo Police Club.

They are quite awesome. I can’t wait to hear their first album, due out in April.
