Castro steps down…

Posted by jtrussell on February 19, 2008

castro_che.jpgAdmittedly he has not been in power for some time, but it is definitely an end of an era today. Castro always struck me like so many world leftist leaders, I support so much of their rhetoric until just when things seem to be going well, bam: human rights abuses. Perhaps with the move away from Castro and a hopeful new Democratic administration (President Obama, please) we can move away from what has really become a silly game of sanctions for no real goal. Both countries have more to gain as partners than adversaries.
